Legendary entrepreneur who started from zero and accomplished a lot of milestones in his life. Started the tea journey in 1999 after decades of being a succesful businessmen in Sooriyawewa.

Shantha Horawala Vithana serves as the visionary Managing Director who has seamlessly carried forward E.P. Piyasena's community-focused mission while pioneering revolutionary technologies in Ceylon tea farming. As the mastermind behind our groundbreaking mobile app and Sri Lanka's first online green leaf procurement system, he has transformed traditional tea farming into a modern, transparent operation.
Under his innovative leadership, Panilkanda Tea has expanded to serve over 2,100 farming families while maintaining the founder's core values of fair partnerships and community development.
